On the move...

Hi everyone~
I had my 9 month check up today. Everything looks good. I weigh 21 pounds, 4 ounces and I am 29 3/4 inched long. I am sitting and crawling and doing all the things that I should be! Healthy as a bear, not a horse, because I am a little bear.

Mom and I got to hang out yesterday. I was moving all around. I really like to follow the dog around and try and take his toys. I believe he finds that annoying. Boy, I can't wait until I can walk and chase after him at a faster pace.

I am starting to pull myself up. I really like my Leap Frog table.
Mission accomplished. I managed to get on my feet. Mom and Dad are going to have to move some furniture around so that it is a little safer for me.

This is what I like to call my "angry" face. I have now started to do the fake screaming to get attention, even though I am not really upset. Mom thinks it's funny.
We are headed to Green Bay tomorrow to visit with family. It has been a few months since we have been home, so it should be fun. We get to see my mom's Aunt Colleen and Uncle Greg. They came in from Colorado. We will have more pictures after we get back!
Have a fun 4th of July!
Love and smiles,
Jake

I know...we have been neglecting....sorry

Hey there everyone~
I know that I haven't posted in a while. Since I got the "conjunkyeyepuss" 2 weeks ago, it has all gone down hill from there. I got a cold shortly after and didn't sleep well for about 6 or 7 nights. Needless to say, mom and dad were a little sleep deprived. Then to top it off, I gave them my cold. Mom lost her voice and Dad hasn't been feeling the greatest either.
I think I am over the tough part now though. I have been sleeping well for the past 3 nights or so. I feel better and Mom and Pops are getting better too.

Grandma Jan came to visit this past weekend. We went to Minnehaha Park and strolled around. Then we ate at The Nook. They have these really good cheeseburgers. They stuff the cheese in the middle, so when you bite into it, the cheese oozes out. Yummy! Mom let me eat some of the bun.

I go for my 9 month check up in a week. My latest stats at 8 months were 20lbs. 4 oz. and 29 inches long. I don't have to get any shots, so I won't have to bring on the crocodile tears. I still don't have any teeth and it doesn't seem like they are coming soon. I do still eat a lot though. My latest favorites are: ham, turkey, bread, diced peaches and pears, bananas, not caring for whole green beans yet, mac and cheese is pretty good, and of course I still get some food that mom made me.

I hope everyone is doing well. Check out the pictures below. I will update again soon.
Love
Jake

Here is a picture of when I had pink eye. It wasn't too bad.
This is my super model face. What do you think?

I really enjoyed my squash and mandarin oranges. I think I got some in my mouth.
Mom took a picture of my feet again. I sit like this a lot with my feet crossed. Sometimes, I fall asleep in my car seat like this or when we go on walks. It's comfy.
This is back from the baseball game. What do you think of my shoes?!

Con junkie eye puss

So - mom and dad took me to the doc this weekend and the doc said I got con junkie eye puss. I dunno, something called pink eye. Little did I know the proper name is conjunctivitis. Sounded like she said I had puss in my eye, which made sense. Don't know the medical pronunciations yet, but I am working on it.

Needless to say, I had to get some drops and make sure I wasn't spreading it to mom and dad. (They are both pink eye free by the way).

Despite one night of eye crust, it was a good weekend. It rained so we played inside a lot. My puppies friend Max was here, he gives me kisses like Duncan does. Mom and I also drove to meet dad on one of his training runs. We greeted him with sports drink, water, energy bar and smiles - the smiles made him run farther and faster.

Tonight I say, sleep is for the birds - not bears. Can you dig it!?

My 1st Game - Twins Win!

Whew, it's the weekend! Time for me to step away from the daily grind of daycare, poopie diapers and other rug rats to catch y'all up to speed. I went to my first big league ball game, the Twins vs the Brewers with Mr. Wilson, mom, dad and Grandma Karen. It was a blast - of course the Twins won... beating the Brewers handily. I've got some Wisconsin roots in me and I love me the Packers, but I'm a Twins kid.

Here I am hanging out with dad and chewing on my cow. I was very well behaved during the game and I made friends with the people next to me, they had a little guy just like me.

Mom made an awesome sign for me, trying to win the 100 scratch off lottery tickets they give away - but I didn't win. At least I made the sign look cool. Special thanks to crazy Grandma Karen and Mr. Wilson for such a fun night. It was sweet to make fun of Dave when the Twinnies won.
Lately I've been scooting around, pivoting on my belly and making some killer circles in the carpet. I've got this move, I call it the Walrus where I pull myself around by using my muscular arms (500 arm curls a day). My legs haven't gotten the memo to cooperate and help me move. Nonetheless, I'm gonna be crawling soon. Below is a video of "The Walrus" patent pending...

Much love,
