Wheel Of Fortune!

Back from a great week in Las Vegas! Melissa had a hot hand with the Wheel of Fortune machine winning about $500. It was pretty cool to see. Unfortunately for the rest of us, she was the only one winning.

We went with some good friends of ours, first we took them to Green Bay - since we were flying out of there. We went to a few local dives and of course Lambeau Field where the first of many Viking jokes was told. We also celebrated our birthdays with our family. A few baby gifts came early! The cutest bibs with phrases on them as well as a pair of red Chucky Taylor's from grandma Karen.

Once we were in Vegas, it was a great time! We had some terrific food. Emeril's steakhouse at the Venetian, ESPN zone and Jimmy Buffett's Margarita Ville. On the last day of our trip, we rented a cabana by the pool and enjoyed a nice poolside seat, pampering from the wait staff, food and a new card game. The only bad part of the trip was the 4AM cab ride to the airport to leave. We went home and stayed with Jan for the night before heading home.

I think not knowing the sex of the baby is killing grandma Jan, she wants the Dr. to call her and let her in on the secret. It's great to see the excitement of our family and friends. Our sister-in-law is expecting their third child in a few weeks! That will be exciting for the family as well.

Melissa is starting to show a bit, it's the end of week 16 - the baby is the size of an avocado! There will be a lot of growth over the next few weeks. Below is a picture where you can see the baby bump a little. What a beautiful pregnant woman.

Much love - Adam and Melissa

Happy 27th Melissa

Most people refer to today as tax-day. It's birthday time for the mommy to be! Melissa turned 27 today, one more step closer to 30 - also another day closer to being a mom. We had a nice dinner, some grilling and quick company from Joe, Lisa and Max. I really struggled on what to get her for this birthday... I'm usually not stumped, but I was in a creative slump.

I settled for a book where we could chronicle our pregnancy, a parenting magazine we can read together and some snacks. Who doesn't love snacks?! I got a singing card, it played "Ain't No Mountain High Enough," I was sitting in Target laughing because it reminded me of one of our favorite movies - Remember the Titans.

Baby is doing well, we have an appointment in a few weeks for another check in. My daddy for dummies website tells me the baby is the size of a lemon. Melissa will tell you I do a really good job of keeping her informed of the size :) We are headed home to GB for the weekend, then to Vegas on Monday morning! We are headed with some great friends, should be a blast! We'll let you know how much we win on the Wheel of Fortune slot machines...

Much love! Happy Birthday Min!

Chocolate Pudding Time

Today baby wanted chocolate pudding... or so Melissa said. It was a pretty funny phone call to get at work. She took a minute to try to convince me that it had calcium and dairy that was good for the baby. Made me laugh!

Unrelated note, enough with the weather already, enough! It is raining/hailing/sleeting/snowing and we are forecasting to get a good 8 inches of snow by Saturday morning. At least it will melt next week. Always a bright spot.

We are talking a little bit about cars and getting a "family vehicle", no worries - a minivan is not in the cards right now.

Best wishes to Grandma Karen, hope you feel better soon!

Much love
