Where is my summer sun?

Aloha friends!

What's the good word? Good to hear... so nice of you to ask - my good word is "da da". That's my shout out to my dad. It's a good time to talk to him in the morning, early morning. That way mom and dad can get up and we can play with some toys. Toys!? Toys are fun - I got me a new one. A big ol' truck. Check me out taking my speckled frog for a ride.

It's almost my first birthday - can you believe it? One month away til I get my hands on some cake, it's gonna be a thing of beauty. The weather, anything but beauty this summer - pretty fickle summer but I've been enjoying daily walks with the fam (including the furry one).

Dad is a running fool getting ready for the marathon. I will be there to cheer him on with mom, we've been following him around the cities with food and drink. I offer my sippy cup from time to time, but he has a hard time drinking out of it. I teach him.

Muscle Man

It has been very hot this week, so I put Jake in this little muscle T that I got at a garage sale for 50 cents. He is getting so big. As most of you know, he has had quite a few ear infections over the past 6 months, so we decided it was time to get ear tubes. He got them put in this past Wednesday and has been doing great! Hopefully, they will stay in place and we can say goodbye to ear infections!

Hey people~
How is everyone doing? I am good. We have had lots of fun over the past couple of weeks. I got to go to the zoo and see the animals and have a picnic. Mom got good news from the doctor, her ACL is not torn and that means no surgery. I am also very excited that as of tomorrow, she gets to come to work at my school. I got invited to my first birthday party for my friend Sloan. She turned 3 and had a carnival theme for her party. She ate a lot of cotton candy!! I will be getting ear tubes this week. Six ear infections in 6 months is too many.

Some other things that I think you should know:

*They say that the humans evolved from monkeys. After seeing how much I can eat in one meal (2 pieces of lunch meat turkey, a cup of peaches, a piece of cheese, 2 graham crackers and a piece of bread....that was just for lunch), mom believes that I evolved from the pigs!

*I am super chatty and love to stand by everything. I like to dump Duncan's water dish, Mom does not like that.

*I am just learning how to imitate waving hello and goodbye.

*I think it's funny when Duncan licks my hands when I am in the bathtub.

*I love to play peek a boo and get chased by mom and dad.

*I sleep 11 hours at night! (Mom and Dad are fans of that).


I am playing with my friend Henry. He wants to steal my beads. I got to meet a funny clown at the birthday party.

I got this little outfit from my Great Uncle Mike. It is from Seattle. It has seafood on it and it says "Small fry" and "Little Crab" on it!

I have decided that I am going to become the water guy for the Vikings...hehehe (laughing in an evil way)
