NYC according to me

Early August, I was left in the "trusty" hands of my Grandma Jan - while mom and dad had a jet-set vacation to the Big Apple. I guess they had a really good time! They brought me some gifts and told me lots of stories. During this post, I'll do my best to give you the narration of their trip - as I know it of course.

This first picture is of food... and why not, that's all mom talked about while making the plans. I just don't get it, all that flying just for food - don't they have a Culvers just down the road here? They didn't need to go all that way to Manhattan. They had hot chocolate, espresso and chocolate cake - BEFORE their dinner. I'm telling.
I guess this New York place has a bunch of tall buildings. It looks pretty sweet to me! This is the "Top of the Rock" that's a big rock... it looks out over a park (I bet there are some killer swings there).
There is a M&M store in Times Square, I got a blue M&M guy from there.
Mommy looks really small infront of all of those M&M's. I'd like to eat them all... but I don't want to get a tummy ache. My mommy sure is a pretty lady.
I didn't get any cupcakes from this bakery :( but I hear it was super good! Mommy and daddy shared some cupcakes from one of the best bakeries in the city.
In Battery Park, there was a piece of art that was in World Trade Center 1. While I don't know everything that happened there, I know it was sad. This sculpture made it through all the mayhem, a little damage - but it's pretty amazing that it was in the lobby of Building 1 and is still in one piece.
After a long wait on a hot day, they went to the Art Museum. They took some pictures of the Horses with Battle Armor and lots of other art, but in the American Wing, they captured this sweet picture. I bet that gold guy gets all the ladies.
Ummm, this building is shaped funny. It's pretty cool... but, it's not a square.
My two favorite people. I missed them a lot, but it was nice to get a break from their tyranny. While they were away, Grandma Jan and I did a lot of stuff! We went to the park, Home Depot to build stuff and even McDonald's. When mom and dad got home, I gave them big hugs!

I guess you could say that their trip away was refreshing for me and for them. I mean, a kid needs a break every once and a while. I am sure that it was really boring there anyway... they probably talked about getting home to me the entire time.

Summer is coming to a close. We have been super busy, but we are so happy to be closer to our family. Our weekends are filled with visitors, house work and baby prep. I'm learning about being a great big brother and I am very excited. All I know is that I'm gonna put this kid in it's place real quick. I will have a constant wait staff... this "baby" will bring me juice and gummies on my command and I plan on stealing it's food and blaming everything on it. Ahhh, there are perks to being a big brother, just don't tell mom and dad my plans.

Shoot, that was an incriminating post... where is the delete button on this thing? Rats!

All my love,
-Jacob
