The Big '3'!!

Happy Birthday to our little, I mean Big, man!! He turned 3 this week and boy was he excited about it! He talked about it for about 2 weeks before and decided that he wanted a "big, chocolate dinosaur" cake. He got his wish! He had a big birthday weekend! On Friday, he got to hang out with mom and run around all day. He got to pick out prizes for his birthday goodie bags and pick up food. After that, Grandma Karen, Ava, Grace, Mike, Scott, and Joey all came down so we could go to a special park on Saturday. Adam, April and Emersen also came down for the fun.
On Saturday, we got up early and went down to Great America!! Oh my, did Jake have fun. He came off of the first roller coaster with Dad crying. Apparently he didn't like it when they told him he had to get off. He wanted to go again. The kid is a riding junkie. He went on about 10 rides and even some of them twice!! Needless to say, he had a blast!
On Sunday we had friends and family over in the wonderful rain for a birthday celebration!! He was a total ham when everyone sang to him! He had such a great time!!

His giant marble run. I swear it took a half hour to put this together. Then today he asked me if we can make a different one! Ha!

After our fun filled weekend, came Monday and then Tuesday and my new big man got strep throat and was out for the week. Grandma Jan took good care of him and he is back to his big self.
